Cover Up: Attack on the U.S.S. Liberty | ||
On June 8, 1967, the intelligence ship U.S.S. Liberty, stationed off the Sinai Peninsula during the Six-Day War, was attacked by unmarked jets and later by unmarked torpedo boats. In all, 34 men were killed and 171 wounded. Deep into the attack, the captain and crew realized that the aggressor was their ally, Israel, who claimed they couldn't identify the ship as American. We examine crewmembers' contentions that the attack was intentional and that both governments covered up the true details. TV PG |
Its only disgusting when it is thrust upon us. When brutality can be graphically dipicted to the unwitting, the response is predictable...they recoil from it...it is the same mindset that argued against showing falling bodies from the WTC's. The propogandist knows this. They know we have an aversion to reality based violence.
What is even more striking is the seeming insatiable lust for theatrical violence when contrasted with the unwillingness to accept real violence. It would almost indicate a culture that prefers fantasy over reality...
When the reality based violence is perpatrated over and over again against our own, perhaps a critical mass will be achieved, and we as Americans will accept that we must perpatrate violence to prevent violence. Until then the propogandist left will continue to demonize American and Israel, performing ostensibly an apologist duty for those whose goal is violence...The irony is appalling.
Many more must die first.
Incidentally I live in a nest of liberals here in Marin County California...I pose the question to some leftisit friends: "How do we know Sadam doesnt have nukes?"...they respond in chorus..."because he hasnt used them"...
Despite their self impeachment, they can't bring themselves to the conclusion that we must act pre-emptivly...
When I saw your post I went to the site and read the first four pages. Looks good, with lots of information and well written. I'll read the rest as soon as I can.
Thanks also for turning me on to the HonestReporting.com site.
That arsenal may or may not include nukes today, but it sure as hell will tomorrow
There are legions in the Middle East who would gleefully pull a nuclear trigger if they could...for the grace of Allah...
Sadam ultimatley could be comprised by an even more radical element...
The power of the atom can never, Never be allowed into this dynamic.....
Bush is doing the programming on The History Channel now? LOL!
Another LOL. I guess the US 'bucks and weaves' too, since the Liberty matter is closed and Congress refuses to reopen it. I guess ONE person here saw it...Vinny, that is. :)
Accident - I think not - several passes were made by the planes and the ship was familiar to IDF> They were just being their typical paraniod selves.
FYI - Network schedules are done far in advance.
To this question:
What will the effect of the internet have on War and Warriors?
I am a bit confused...help me
The Discussion Tangent Started:
What affect do you think the internet will have on war and warriors ?
I am really curious what you think...
I don't seem to be able to find a answer...a mere 'oversight' perhaps?
