Oh jeez...I can just imagine what a mess that will be...gonna be a bunch of ticked off truckdrivers, that's for sure!

My sister went to school in KY, and my brother went to UT, and my other brother went to ASU (Appalachian State University)...I hated making road trips to see them. Sheesh..it always took 4 hours LONGER than it should have. ;-)

And I won't mention the time we were in Boone, NC and my father took us on a "sightseeing" tour of Grandfather Mountain. Just put it this way: the whole family is lucky to be alive....;-)

Cars could easily be equipped with radar or sonar to prevent a lot of these collisions and save many lives. The problem is with all the lawyers in America. They will sue any manufacturer the first time someone dies. I think air bag manufacturers are constantly in court, constantly paying out millions to lawyers. It's only because of special laws that air bags even exist.

Possibly some radar detector company could add electronics to provide audio alerts of imminent collisions. I would buy one.
