President Bush held his fifth formal press conference today and played hardball with the press core and the Senate, especially concerning the Pickering appointment. Bush also hosted a few St. Patrick Day events today, including the New York Fire Department Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Corps. Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern was also in attendance, and presented President Bush with a basket of shamrocks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya.
Yeah, I'm a bit Irish myself but that has nothing to do with wanting to see Dubya in a kilt! LOL! I can't imagine the media's reaction, but I can imagine the Bush Babes' reaction!
That's my real guess too, hazel. Hazel eyes can look either green or blue, depending on what one is wearing. I think that once in a while they look blue, once in a while they look green, but most of the time, they look hazel.
When I saw President Bush, I was miles away from him in a huge autitorium. I could hardly see him, much less his eyes! LOL!
Now they'll probably tell us to go get a room or something. ;-D
Well, I managed to sneak around some guards and photographers to meet him at a charity dinner. I figured that since he was there, it was probably the one chance in my life to meet him, and my friend egged me on to break through the scrum of people who were surrounding him while he was being led around the front of the ballroom, being introduced to bigwigs.
And yes, I *am* the Queen of Run-On Sentences. :-D
For the record, when I met him, I swore his eyes were green but I will go along with blue or hazel. Whatever, the color, they are so expressive. W has many fine physical attributes and his eyes are one of them.
My thoughts exactly.
Funniest part is the bill doesn't give amnesty as they are screeming about. If they ever bothered to check before screaming they would know that. Even Dick Armey was on Fox and said it does not give blanket amnesty or he would not have voted for it. I don't even waste my time taking to that bunch of whinners.
Dancing on the table, what?

...Another documentary, "Journeys With George," is Alexandra Pelosi's digital minicam view from inside the 2000 Bush presidential campaign. (Ms. Pelosi, an NBC News producer, began "Journeys" as a side project. It moved to center stage when her candidate was elected.) It takes aim at several journalists but is most fascinating because of the way it dwells on the fine line between being the manipulator and the manipulated. Mr. Bush and Ms. Pelosi are canny stalkers, he with his jovial, fraternity-president charm and she with her loud outfits and an apparently scattered manner that masks her determination. Her shopping mall technology probably made Mr. Bush drop his guard a bit, and she gets more out of her camera just because of propinquity. But he never lets his guard down too far; his savvy with the press means he's always playing the candidate at some level, and she's charmed by the character he's playing.
"Journeys" is a sea change from the tradition of Timothy Crouse's "Boys on the Bus," primarily because it may well be the last opportunity for such a worm's-eye view of a presidential candidate. It's hard to believe campaign advisers will ever be this relaxed and accommodating around the press again. ("Journeys With George" has just been picked up by HBO.)...
Does anyone have this on tape by chance? I would gladly pay for a copy.
