Wphile, I am sorry to say that I didn't get to watch "Journeys with George" by Ms. Pelosi on Dateline tonight. My daughter (who has been married for a few days more than a month now) came by to visit and I had to turn the TV off. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, not watching this program! I just knew that she would have been really offended if I kept the TV on.

Does anyone have this on tape by chance? I would gladly pay for a copy.

Dear Wphile, I am so sorry you didn't get to see this! I am glad you got to see Mrs. Newlywed, though. ;-) Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I got bumped offline and then had to do some chores.

RonDog's post at 94 gives info on how the movie will be traveling around the country, being shown at film festivals and other venues like that. I am guessing it will be available for purchase after its tour.

The scene of W dancing on stage was short but it looked like he was at some kind of Western barn music festival or hoedown. He was on the right with his back to the camera and turned himself sideways so his left side was to the audience, and in front of him on stage was a musician (I think he had a guitar but am not sure). Both of them were dancing to the beat and it was Not Your Typical Picture of George. LOL

The rest of the snippets are really enjoyable. You've probably read most of what they showed, but it is different when you see it.

I taped it but I don't get cable so the screen has little white dots all over it. I bet someone can get you a better copy.

We can't all possibly agree with everything the President does, but I think he is a wonderful President, one that we can respect, and support.

You are exactly right! I am so tired of seeing on all the other threads, the big threat: 'THAT'S IT I'M NEVER VOTING FOR HIM AGAIN' Please! You can't possibly agree with any President 100 percent of the time. Thanks for the daily dose rintense, even when the disruptors arrive it's a pleasant diversion.

Well, maybe Laura Bush should have the final say on W's eye color. Remember a while back, someone posted a quote from an interview she gave, and she was asked about his eyes. She said, "They're the same color as mine, blue!" (I think is was in either the guild or the daily photo thread that I read that.)

Yes, I've heard that.....and would believe that before I'd believe others here who say they are green - I'm just trying to "compromise." LOL (And, my husband has hazel eyes and they look just like the President's eyes in pictures here.)

I always enjoy the Daily Dose thread and this one was really a hoot. (Everyone discussing the color of our President's eyes.) Well, I got to stay up to watch his press conference last night and it was well worth it. Dubya was fired up. I would say that his eyes were the color of fire several times! My niece got to see him close-up at a political rally during the campaign in 2000. She said that he has great blue eyes. Well, I am on the tail-end of this thread but this was my two cents worth. (we can't spend pennies here in Germany)

I enjoyed reading the news conference thread yesterday and am so unhappy that I didn't manage to see it on Cspan - when they replayed it!

I hope there is a new "Journey with George" filming crew at work somehow - cataloging the president's days. His is a historic Presidency in so many ways and I would pay money for a video biography of these years........

The Stupid Media (they aren't stupid - just biased) should figure out that if they would like to increase their ratings by megatons - and get more advertisers MONEY - all they would need to do is have a 30 minute program each night - sort of like the daily dose - but video of the President's day.

I WOULDN'T MISS THAT JUST LIKE I DON'T MISS THIS THREAD EACH DAY!

But then the media are such traitorous wretches they don't even care about MONEY when it comes to keeping America's President, Vice President, and their wives - OUT OF OUR EYESIGHT! if possible!
