Does evolution have problems as a theory? Of course. Many scientific theories have problems. Scientists still have problems with things like the theory of gravity

But I have yet to meet the creationist that can "prove" that the world was created in 6/7 days, that the Earth is only about 6,000 years old, that everyone descended from some "Adam & Eve" in a Garden of Eden, etc, etc

The main problem with most creationists is that they scream that evolution is unworkable and so biblicial creationism MUST be the logical alternative. I, for one, don't buy it

I agree.

You disprove evolution. So what? Doing so does NOT prove "Intelligent Design". In fact, the same arguments used against evolution can be used against ID. The author shoots himself in the proverbial foot.

Perhaps they have problems "around the edges", meaning that they cannot give proof for every problem it attempts to solve. The problem with evolution is that the central tenet of evolution is that the most recent, most complex species descended from the oldest least complex species. For that to have occurred there had to be a lot of macro-evolution occurring. Evolution has absolutely no proof of macro-evolution therefore it is a totally phony theory since it cannot give proof of its central tenet.

That's why we should avoid mixing religion and science in discussion of scientific matters. If someone says "I believe in evolution" and is told he is going to burn in Hell for having that belief, nothing is gained. On the other hand if someone says "I have doubts about evolution" and is told he is an ignorant fool, then nothing is gained either.

It seems to me that many defenders of evolution treat their belief as an unshakable tenet of faith rather than a scientific theory to be considered detachedly.
