I can speak about Catholic priests "in general", too. "In general", they are completely faithful to their vows of celibacy. I've lived in a large number of places, differnt dioceses, many (dozens) of priests. Of them exactly one violated his vow of celibacy; that was with an adult woman. Exactly one was in the least bit "swishy", and noone ever accused him of actually doing anything. My experience includes some of the most notoriously "liberal" dioceses, and both the adulterer and the swish were in one of them.
Again, you fail to address that married protestant ministers also engage in buggery, and you fail to address that in some areas faithful, orthodox young men who have no use for buggery, abortion, or militant feminism are actively weeded out of the seminaries. Cleaning the queers, feminazis, and new-agers out of the diocesan vocations offices will do far more good than caving in to them on the issue of priestly celibacy.
Was the priestly celibacy issue one of the reasons you abandoned the Faith?
