Please, let's stop with the personal insults. There is no proof Singh Kiam's relatives have ever bombed any pizza joints or synagogues. There are terrorists in Israel who commit horrendous acts, yes. There are also some ordinary people who just happened to get born there (including Christians, BTW).

The reason lots of people (including me) avoid FR threads having to do with the "Israeli-Palestinian Question" is precisely because they are taken over by nasty flaming, personal insults, and plain viscousness. But, you know what? I'm sick and tired of it and I'm not gonna take it anymore! I'd like to read some intelligent discussion, not just flamethrowing and mudslinging for a change. I'd like to learn and become better informed without having to wade through reams of nasty posts.

It's certainly fine to express an opinion one way or the other, even to have an emotional opinion, but please, let's can the personal insults, at least on this thread. Is that asking too much? Just this ONE thread out of thousands? Flame away on one or all of the other threads, just leave this one alone, okay?

The Israeli reporters, along with reporters from every country and news service, have been complaining about the IDF shooting reporters for quite some time now.

Two "Palestinians", one Israeli, and one Frenchman complained. Moreover, there were 40 complaints logged by some "unbiased" source in the last year. Your reference fo "quite some time now" makes it seem longer.

They say the IDF shoots them all the time and the reporters have video footage that shows that the IDF is doing this deliberately.

The video footage you mentioned is only of the Israeli. And there was no mention in the article of the IDF "doing it deliberately."

Sigh. I said the person's screen name did not mean they were necessarily a Sikh. And, anyway, why insult someone because they are Sikh? I never said the West Bank was full of Sikhs.

Besides, you never know: the poster could be Sikh and married to a someone from the Mid-East who has relatives in the West Bank. It's not hard to find Sikhs among international humanitarian workers, especially in the medical professions. That's how I've met so many Sikhs. (Have there not been international humanitarian workers in the West Bank?)

I'm an American married to a Russian (who is now a staunch Republican, BTW). Unlikely combinations do happen. You just never know.
