Ah, but you refuse to countenance the solution to a Mexican "invasion," preferring to instead build the MacNamara Line and duplicate the blazing success THAT project was.

Evidentially you did not take the time to look up the post I referenced. Your line is clear. You would have a problem with any stringent measures to control illegal immigration.

Quite to the contrary; I merely have a problem with (a) using the military for civil law enforcement, (b) solutions that require more manpower than is available for the mission (putting an EFFECTIVE military cordon will require about 352,000 soldiers--ie.e, full-fledged shooters--on post at any given moment, and the support personnel requirements will drive the total figure into the realm of the unreasonable), and (c) treating serious structural problems in America with a Band-Aid.

End welfare. Enforce hiring documentation requirements. Those two items together will end illegal immigration without requiring more federally-employed bodies.
