Im not happy about amnesty either,but it was an inevitability.Im not ready to condemn Bush for it either.I knew something like this would happen when I watched the first Bush-Fox speech last year.I think W understands the need to placate the pro illegal alien left from time to time. How are you doing,BTW?

I have mixed feelings about the amnesty issue. I can't really believe all the tin foil hat brigade's notions that Mexicans are moving here as part of some concerted effort to slowly take over the whole country.

I think they just want to have the same kind of opportunity to get ahead, that we all do. It sure won't happen in Mexico, but I am NOT condoning illegal immigration either.

I am kind of pragmatic about it, similar to Darlin's point of view. Since they are ALREADY here, let's brand 'em and let 'em start paying taxes to the Man like we all have to do.

We also need to make sure that millions more don't get here in the future too.
