I really enjoy seeing pictures of courthouses around the country.
In studying genealogy, you come across a lot of web sites for counties all over the country....and many of them have pictures of the county courthouse!

The Allen County court house in Fort Wayne Indiana is a beautiful structure. It has the scales of justice (whatever the official name is) on the dome, with the states history depicted around the upper facade... Indians, Johnny Appelseed, General Anthony Wayne, etc..
It looks important, and screams history.
