Well, there goes my hope in the future, and a lot of my respect for President Bush, not to mention the rest of these fools in Congress. As far as I'm concerned none of them will ever have my voter again! Of course with all the damned illegals that will be voting now I guess they really won't need it!!

As I recall, it was back in the late 50s that Khruschev was mouthing off to Ag Secretary Ezra Benton that the communists would never have to fire a shot against America--that it would be accomplished from within.....that American people would never accept communism at one big chunk....but that they would take it a little bit at a time.

Question: Are we more closer to socialism/communism NOW than back in 1959?

Im not happy about amnesty either,but it was an inevitability.Im not ready to condemn Bush for it either.

I have mixed feelings about the amnesty issue. I can't really believe all the tin foil hat brigade's notions that Mexicans are moving here as part of some concerted effort to slowly take over the whole country.

I think they just want to have the same kind of opportunity to get ahead, that we all do. It sure won't happen in Mexico, but I am NOT condoning illegal immigration either.

I am kind of pragmatic about it, similar to Darlin's point of view. Since they are ALREADY here, let's brand 'em and let 'em start paying taxes to the Man like we all have to do.

We also need to make sure that millions more don't get here in the future too.

Sweet....they don't care about your vote; they have made a conscious decision that they can make up for the loss of your vote by catering to the Hispanics....what is so hard to understand?

Of course, the Dems believe they have a lock on that market....in the past, it has proved to be true....after all, why should a Hispanic accept the words of a mealy-mouthed party when the dirty party has consistently promised them everything under the sun and then some? I think my everyday tin foil hat is pretty - but I was going to make a new fancy one for an Easter bonnet.
I don't like the Spanish language here in Texas. Every time I go to the mall Ihear more Spanish spoken than English. While at the health department yesterday with Gabe, Gabe and I, the nurse, the receptionist and a family from India were the only people speaking English. If a family from India can learn English and speak it, why can't the Mexicans? Oh, one little Mexican boy - very cute, about 8 - spoke perfect English to his baby brother, but his parents only spoke Spanish. Gabe and I thought his parents should be speaking English to him and encouraging him and the little one - but to them it is more important that the children speak Spanish because they do not intend to fully assimilate.

More and more eyes are being opened, but it is too late. We will not go back to a Constitutional Republic because there is not enough left who recognize the difference let alone enough to care.

Statistics are amazing in this regard.....I daresay all the men left from WWII know what the scoop is.....sadly, we're losing them at the rate of 30,000 a month.....how much longer before they are all just memories. What has gone on in regards to the war front since WW2 can't count...sad to say. Since WWII, we've been on this 'dumbing down of Amerika' progrom!

Alas, I want to quit talking about it and be happy.....lighten up....guess the size of Michael Jordan's tenny shoes or who is gonna win Survivor Island or whatever that program is.

Agreed,The mexican illegals for the most part are commiting crimes.I know,I know,some do,but not enough to focus all of our anti immigration efforts solely on them.Any arab male aged 13-75,however should be denied entry with extreme predjudice.I was in SEA-TAC last night taking a red-eye home to STL.Most of the foriegners I saw (SEA is a big Intnl airport and port of entry)were of Asian extraction.But there were a lot of Arabs there.I dont think we can ban everyone from coming here,but we sure as hell should stop the arabs coming in.
