Wow - that does put me and both of my sisters in the Boomer generation. I wanted to be a generation-less renegade. The anti-generation. *L* With flowers in my hair and a revolver in my holster.

I have never tried melon with manure on it.That you felt compelled to share your fantasy with us says a lot about you, Ratty.

"...I was never told these threads were only for supporters or cheerleaders of the President and his administration--and those are two definitions I've not held myself out to be."
Well, I do hold myself out to be both a supporter and a cheerleader of the President's. So, lets give it a rest.

But if the older Bush had used the 'Clymer' remark, it could have done wonders for his image! LOL! It would have erased any of the stupid medias commentaries about how he didn't understand how the scanners in stores work! He'd been a little more macho or sumthin! As it was, I swear everybody I knew thought Barbara wore the pants and had the male hormones n' stuff! She was just more a straight shooter blunt outgoing sort.

One of the finer outgrowths of Western Civilization...

Oh goodness... my parents were the lost generation and my kids are the internet generation. Yet here I am, lost on the internet. *L*
To: ValerieUSA
Oops - my parents were the silent generation... they should have spoken up or I wouldn't have lost them.

Bush let himself be outfoxed.
He squandered some fairly good opportunities.
but I don't think anyone else could have done any better against what he had to face: The Dems sold their souls and let someone totally corrupt them because he could lie well enough to get elected. Buchanan....who would give a nickel to hear what he has to say now. Perot....A Bush hater who almost single handedly gave us the Slickster. The Media...who were so totally juiced and committed to giving us anybody (or thing) than another Republican President.
A public willing to listen to these shysters.
Tall odds at best
To: Rowdee
GHWB would never say that .. it's not in his upbrining .. even though he would have thought it .. he would not use those words
As for him knowing about the scanner .. If I recall they were new to stores back then ... besides that ... his was Vice President and President for the previous twelve year .. I don't think one would find him at the Grocery Store
As for Babara wearing the pants .. what wife doesn't .. LOL And yes she is a straight shooter and says what she thinks .. I somehow can relate to that ..
The Media had an agenda for Clinton to be President and would and did make GHWB look like a fool to help push their agenda
Gee .. didn't the media also do that with his son????

As for him knowing about the scanner .. If I recall they were new to stores back then ...Unlike the intern oral DNA repository!
To: Mo1
They tried....
They're not as powerful as they used to be.
Us internet junkies won't allow it.
To: gratefulwharffratt

Wow, your mom is a lot older than my mom, even older than my mother-in-law (and her twin sister, I'm so lucky)
To: Prentice
Bush let himself be outfoxed.
He squandered some fairly good opportunities EXACTLY .. and towards the end .. his lost the will to fight
I'm not saying GHWB was the greatest president .. but his sure wasn't the worst
And I still think if the MEDIA had informed the public about Clinton's past history .. He would never have been elected
The Media Knew and they hold part of the blame also for the 8 yr nightmare
