How can you reconcile the evidence using anything else? How can you explain the living proof of differentiation within the species? I don't need you to show me the mechanism behind the results, that's what this article is trying to show. I want you to show me a theory that better fits the evidence.

RE: Evolution has stopped

Has evolution stopped? There are many animals that are adapting and changing in our lifetime - but that is boring Biology 101, let us discuss ourselves.

Is the Human Species evolving? I would argue that our species is continuing down a long and successful evolutionary path.

May I ask you a question? Would you agree that there are variations within our species?

So show me where in the bible it says that God kept adding animals to the planet. We know that there were two of everything on the Arc. So here is a good little problem for you to solve.

The two parrots on the Arc were Red. How did we end up now with Red, Green , Blue, and Gold parrots? Same species mind you, but different colors, How?

The two Iguanas on the arc were Green and lived in trees, etc, How?

It hasn't stopped. Think of all the genetic deficiencies that daily kill children. Those are the "rejects". Not to be harsh but it's true. Genetic mutations are constantly changing us (as a race that is), just very slowly.

There's no reason to pit creation vs evolution. They could very well be one in the same process if you think about it. I mean God, being as smart as he must be, must surely know that nothing is ever perfect and that in order for animals to flourish on the Earth they must have the ability to adapt.

How about the f.Christian theory of the Universe...

we are just a "thirty" minute play--rehearsal from another previous world---that is going to be "jumped"--revised to the next.

What you are...looking at---"props"--costumes!

All the worlds a stage, and we, are but pitiful actors (or something like that).

So what about the rest of the flora and fauna on the planet, just scenery with no guts? Kinda like those old-west films that used hastily made "fronts" for the town?

But now the next step should be to test the 9 point mutations to see how well they do the second job: digesting the single-stranded RNA from that gut bacteria.

Bravo! You are using the ol' head there. Yes.

I can't imagine that that activity wasn't assessed.

That would seal the case, IMO.

I'm not sure what deal you are referring to.

Not sure what it has to do with "Just So"...

Just So stories are about, for example, how the Zebra got its' stripes or some such.

You've got one of those stickers that says

"WARNING, in case of Rapture this vehicle will be un-occupied"

on your car don't you?

Something good to remember...

The Bible says--God is not the author of confusion...

even the word science means cutting away of the false from the true!

Sure, but it's about as deep as a "Just So" story.

LOL, You're denying that natural selection even exists???

One question. Do you know what the word "sure" means?

OK, two. Do you try to make yourself look foolish on purpose?

Science BAD, Ignorance GOOD.

Those are not dichotomies.

One thing I have learned here on Free Republic by reading these threads is that the "science good" people are just as ignorant of science as any creationist. Often times more.

IOW science refines truth, or purifies truth. Your point?

All things being relative,HAD MAN EVOLVED FROM APES OR MONKEYS,THERE WOULD BE NO MORE APES OR MONKEYS AS THEY WOULD ALL NOW BE HUMAN.

Has evolution stopped?

To amplify your point, there is no teleology in evolution. Humans may be transitional or just a dead end or even long lasting along with cockroaches and horseshoe crabs.

We have a pretty good handle on things that have happened, a less accurate handle on things that won't happen, and nothing about what will happen.
