The Stacey/Sanders thing is more subtle, but the results were the same. But more devastating to the case. Beers had little info to offer solo. If Reed had been an expert like Elmer, he may have learned a lot through Beers and his friends, but he jumped the gun. It was Jim's responsibility to protect Stacey - at all costs. Including walking away. Stacey took his losses most gracefully, I thought. He and Beers have my utmost admiration, as does Wiemeyer. Reed and Sanders too, for at least trying. Like Russell, Donaldson, Salinger and IAN. IAN's not going to turn this tiger loose IMO. I feel Sanders understands now but was simply naive initially. Reed does not understand. I don't think he ever will.
AIM can assist the investigation by doing legwork for silent investigators, but they simply don't understand the problem. There is info people like me need but can't get whereas AIM can. A large number of people know what happened on TWA800, as on ENRON, and they want the truth to come out. Some even understand how important this is to our nation's health. [end quote]
Addendum to my earlier response: You think that it was a mere 'mechanical failure' that brought flight 800 down. You do not acknowledge that the Pres at the time was a yellow coward who would kill his own mother if it got him political power. The 1996 elections were right around the corner, and Bill needed to win. And he needed to keep a terrorist attack quiet. It really is that simple. Especially if the Justice Department and FBI is compromised. (Remember all the FBI files at the White House illegally?)
