Controversy is about all it will stir. Without the DNA of the person in question there is no way to prove anything. After all, they already know it is the body of someone of Mideast decent.

Yes.. the Muslims view Jesus as a saint.. a prophet..but not God incarnate of course.. Funny not sure how they think a saint could be a 'liar'.. for if Jesus was just a saint and NOT God.. then He should be deemed a liar or a bit off his rocker.. two things that don't exactly fall in place with sainthood.

It is said the land east of Nod is where the murderous vegan Cain was banished. And that area is supposed to be in the Afghan/Kashmir region. Ironic as the difference is between heaven and hell when comparing the two regions.

""This will trace him (the saint) to his origin ... and resolve the raging controversy over the identity of the place forever," she told the Sunday edition of Kashmir's leading daily, the Greater Kashmir."

"Hubris" just doesn't cover it.

Hey, Olsson...........sweetie cakes............here's a BIG hint: you may find a body, but not His; it ain't here, darlin'.

Why should these people waste their time?

5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

I might be misinformed but can't DNA be effective in detecting someone's ethnicity. For example the archaelogist could identify if the body has semetic "blood" and see if carbon dating matches it to the time of Jesus. She can't prove that it was him but proving what I mentioned might stir some controversy.

Given the broad lineage of Shem, this would probably not prove anything more than we already know. This guy is probably some Arab of undetermined age.

Not to get off the subject... but I understand Geraldo Rivera is going to report this as a follow-on to Al Capones treasure!

One final thing caught my eye: "Olsson also believes Moses is buried in Bandipore in north Kashmir, the Islamic prophet Haroun at Harwan, on the outskirts of Srinagar, and Solomon at Takht-i-Suliaman in Srinagar"

I know for a fact that the Norse god Odin is buried in Elko, NV...please send money so I can prove it!

"And just where are they going to get DNA from Jesus, or Mary, to compare it to?"

They found it at the south pole, right next to that meteor from Mars......
