I don't think Dr. Keyes let Bush entirely off the hook either.

I hear you, there may be room for some doubt about what else he might say but I don't understand him to be criticizing Bush in this interview. I mean, let's face it, if Keyes thought Bush was responsible for 9-11, he wouldn't have endorsed Bush for reelection in 2004.

I think Keyes has been very supportive of Bush's policies and I never could understand what all of the arguing was about.

Keyes has been supportive of much of Bush's policies, especially regarding the war on terrorism, as well many of his other policies but does criticize him on issues on which he disagrees like ESCR funding, affirmative action, Campaign Finance Reform, etc.

Some people see his criticisms as being disloyal. The question is, to what should one be loyal? Everyone has the right to answer that for themselves.

I think Keyes has taken a sensible approach in his general support of the Bush administration.
