I am sure these are fine sentiments, but they are just as wasted on a one-celled zygote, ...What I wonder is ... why you persist in utilizing such highly (purposely?) misleading terminology? You know that by the time any abortion is ever considered, the fetus is long past the one-celled zygote phase. I know you do. We've discussed this before.
I responded to this in post 219, but you did not come back to the issue--I'll be less succinct:
It is not misleading terminology, it is precisely to-the-point terminology--except to those who plan to bury the exact nature of the moral problem in a blizzard of crocodile tears.
May I assume that it is your position that a zygote may be aborted? May a two-celled fertilized human egg be aborted? A four cell? What is the criteria you wish to use? May I assume that you see no moral problem with the morning-after pill? How about a D&C as soon as I miss my period? How about a D&C a week after sex?
