Aw gee now...how unfair. One would not want to make villians out Neo-Nazis now, would one!?

The point is, why change the villains from what the author intended?

It's actually an old Hollywood device to substitute far-right villains for the left-wing villains in the original book. EG, Ian Fleming's novels had SMERSCH - a Russian communist organization - as a villain. Hollywood, in From Russia with Love, changed the villain to independent operators who weren't tied to either the East or the West. Hollywood resists making communists villains, andm, apparently, is also reluctant to make arab terrorists villains, even though that's how Clancy had it.

If you watch the History channel - or any of a hundred movies - the evils of Hitler and Nazis are the endless focus. Certainly it's appropriate never to forget the horror of Nazidom. But where are the movies about the evils of communism - the bloodthirstyness of Lenin and Stalin? Very, very few movies tell us anything about this massive, blood-drenched chapter of the 20th century. Hollywood appears to think the anti-communists of the Hollywood 10 era are greater villains than Stalin, who boasted to CHurchill that he'd killed 20 million people.
