Well, I have to give Clancy nominal pain here because when he first started selling the movie rights, for his initial movies, he DID attempt to maintain some control. I remember him talking about it.
**But the key here is that liberals/socialists have won control over the vast majority of our culture wars.....Media,Entertainment, Literary form, much of religion, they teach our children (private and public, colleges etc.)
Tom Clancy stikes me as the kind of guy who doesn't mind taking money from fools. If this film is truely as PC as it sounds in this thread, it will fail finacially. I loved reading the book and won't mind missing the movie if it has changed as much as this thread indicates. Eventually, Hollywood will realize that most Americans enjoy good stories or they will go out of business. Look at the finances at Disney. They still don't understand what is happening to their bottom line.
