I like this quote:

Now, we have learned a painful lesson here in the United States that our government, and especially our intelligence services do many things that the people are not aware of and would not approve of. The same appears to be the case in Israel, where the Mossad has engaged in tactics most Israelis would probably find quite objectionable, indeed almost Hitlerian, without their knowledge and certainly without their support.

Now, we have learned a painful lesson here in the United States that our government, and especially our intelligence services do many things that the people are not aware of and would not approve of.

Why is this a painful lesson? And why in god's name would we not approve??? Anyone with an ounce of brains would realize that this is the very cornerstone of why we have remained basically untouched on American soil for all these years, and I for one am grateful for our intelligence community's ability to short circuit terrorism as well as it has. 9/11 had to happen, sooner or later, in some form or another. Even we can't win all the individual battles.

The world is a dirty place, and you have to be willing to get your own hands a little dirty in order to survive. Get over it.
