"It's not meant to be vicious, it is meant to be humorous," said Ray White, a Mohawk American Indian on the team. "It puts people in our shoes, and then we can say, 'Now you know how it is, and now you can make a judgement.' " Good, cuz it's pretty f*****' funny!
How much fun could the Blackhawks have with this?

Yeah!I like it too!
Now, how long will it take for someone to claim that having a White mascot discriminates against "people of color"?

Well it's about time the white man is getting recognition for his legendary abilities. I'm tired of the Redskins, Chiefs, and Indians having all the glory. :^)

Well if you are gonna use a white symbol that is analogous to an INDIAN be correct.
Indian mascots are usually BRAVES so therefore the White mascot should be a MARINE or MINUTE MAN not some wimp in a suit

It doesn't offend me either.
Maybe they are trying to get more whites interested in cheering for their team. They may have suceeded as long as they keep it humorous and not vicious.

They can call themselves "the Crackers" for all I care.
Speaking of sterotypes, check this one out: YeeHaw

"Fighting Whities" is ok, but I think "White Devils" would have been better. Hope these redskins can make this a national trend.

That's not a wimp in a suit- it's a CIA agent laughing about bagging Saddam Hussein.

Let's not forget the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. That's a cartoonish, angry looking white guy for ya. And it's really huge on their basketball court.

I don't think this is a good way to make a point. I think it's cute! I think the only people will be offended are the "people of color" who are offended any time the word "white" is mentioned. You know, white people aren't supposed to say they're white!

Ray White, a Mohawk American Indian ... whose ancestors 'liberated' their surname?

Tell me again why we're supposed to be offended? So that the crybabies can feel vindicated.
There are schools in the Dallas area with mascots like the Buccaneers, Raiders, Fighting Farmers, and the Scots. Perhaps I, as a Scottish-American, should be offended at their pictures of crazed barbarian men running around in dresses.

Im shocked, offended, and outraged! Where do I line up for my reparations?
To: real saxophonist
Of course it will be racist to root for this team in any way.

The Saints.
I don't know what the Indians are griping about, since the poor Trojans had a condom named after them.

Sorry to disappoint them...but I am NOT offended.
I think it's great. The only "point" it proves is that some minorities have a chip on thier shoulder and look for reasons to get "offended".
Sincerly,
A Fighting Whitie
