Yes you are right on that. When a pregnant woman, about 8 and a half months jumps the border to have her kid here, she's going to make more money. And don't say that's not happening because it is.
How to find them? We'll never find them all, but I would start by allowing every police agency in the country the abilty to work with the INS in enforcing the laws. When they happen upon illegals, they should be turned over to a cooperating INS.
One thing we should not do is reward them with anymore amnesties, period. The 1986 one was a mistake, it was only supposed to be a one-time thing, and was done for political reasons. One of which was to get better control of illegal immigration through employer sanctions and increased border patrols.
As far as Bush, I want to support him, and he's done a great job so far on the War. But he's out of step with the population on the immigration issue, and he knows it.
