The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, Reagan said, would "regain control of our borders and thereby preserve the value of one of the most sacred possessions of our people, American citizenship."He also said,
"Give me your tired your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

I'm sure Mr. Reagan wasn't talking about this:

There's a right way, and a wrong way to come to the US. Reagan only referred to immigrating legally.

"Give me your tired your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" Bull Sh*t. Give us your address, we will send the huddled masses your way and you can feed and house and medicate them.
Just remember its the Statue of Liberty, not the Statue of immigration.

Give me your tired your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"Sorry, that's not in my copy of the Constitution. Besides, wasn't it that flaming Commie, Emma Lazerus who made that screed first?
