Canada, the country we pick on sometimes which has less personal freedom than us as of now, may see a tide of Americans fleeing poverty and chaos. Hard to believe, but it's very possible. And of course the illegals will follow, looking for a better life to work hard, scrub the toilets, and pick the lettuce.

Canada is fast becoming a cesspool of corruption, political correctness, crime, multi-culturalism, and third world immigration - usually under the guise of "asylum" seekers. I used to subscribe to some Canadian immigration reform newsletters - the situation is actually worse in Canada. True, they don't have that big border with Mexico we have, but virtually anyone who can make it to Canada and mutter "I am seeking asylum" through an interpreter ends up living in Canada, at taxpayer expense. And Canada has none of our constitutional protections on free speech, free press, freedom of assemby or association, or any kind of 2nd amendment-style gun rights.

No, you had better forget Canada. Either we fix things here, or we go under. There's nowhere to run to anymore. Time to stop running away.

It's an idea periodically floated on the forum, and generally goes by the wayside quickly. However, I expect it will become more respected as a viable solution as time passes. Idea being - let's us all move to one state and take it over. Seems that homosexuals have moved en masse to Vermont and have essentially made it their own. A state full of true patriots would be a force to be reckoned with. Actually someone may have mentioned it on this thread; I can't remember anymore. It's a good idea, but considering the conservative propensity for wanting to just be left alone (see the numerous posters, self included, who never even publicly protested before last Nov2K), chances are nothing productive would happen before it was too late to do it early.
