Also, it was proven through some congressional study that whenever GW did win a state -- like TN, for example -- the media withheld that information for as long as possible. By not reporting GW's winning states immediately, voters might then get the impression: Al Gore is winning all the states, and GW is just picking up a state here and there.

Watching the returns on any broadcast network this deceitful technique was glaringly apparent. Rather-Jennings-Brokaw refused to call any state for Bush long after a majority of precincts reported, while simultaneously awarding Gore states after exit polls found two soccer moms and a stock broker for Gore.

In New Mexico, Bush led by three to four hundred votes until a Democrat precinct worker found a "clerical error" giving Gore an additional five hundred votes.

The evening news showed the hand-written figure, looking like a one with a tiny loop drawn at its base to make it a six (1=6), and cited the "explanation" that a paper clip covered the bottom of the number on the first count.

The Democrat County Clerk for the most populous county kept tens of thousands of ballots in a warehouse over night, and the software used to machine-count thousands of ballots mysteriously failed to count straight-ticket ballots the first count.

Beyond the red states and the blue states is The Twilight Zone--and that's where Gore "won" big.

But, I notice Gore supporters never mention any of this when they discuss Election 2000. Alec seems to have forgotten too. And, yet, I saw the bi-partisian committee of Congressmen who did this study, on C-SPAN, explaining how they found this to be true over and over -- showing the networks desperately trying to give the impresson Gore was the easy winner, when clearly, he was not. Especially when he couldn't even win his home state of TN and a Dem stronghold like WV. Giving such a misimpression was clearly intended to influence voters on Election Day, in the hope voters would conclude: 'Why bother voting?' Very unfair to GW.

Sorry but I'm a practical one when it comes to tossing my vote. I'm not the typical female who votes primarily on just emotional/physical appeal.

As a female voter, I belong to no political party. Have no faith in either one. I'm a Constitutionalist. I vote for someone based on their loyalty to this country, their family, and their ability to stand behind this country instead of acting like a wimp.

Howard Phillips is your guy, goldilucky. Candidate for the Constitution Party. Knows our constitution forwards-backwards, inside-out. Fine American

Great post Summer, WOW, two day thread. Now I know what "bump to the top" means.

Hey Alec -

You were adequate as a real estate salesman in Glengarry Glen Cross. The role came naturally to you. Ever think about doing it for real? You are obviously just plain stupid about anything else. Or go pick your nose or something.

I never heard of Howard Philips. He must be a real staunch American. And probably one we'll never hear of because he's not a member of the CFR let alone swearing loyalty to their anti-American and anti-God cause.
