It may or not may not be credible. However, I did find it interesting enough to post here as a speculative item.
Just off the top of my head I would tend to discount this post. He mentions the animals ate parts of the body. No problem there except that animals normally eviserate or disembowel a body first and destroy the neck. Supposedly the necklace she was wearing was clearly visible.
