Let me see if I got the facts straight:

Ms. Chante J. Mallard was driving home while under the influence of narcotics and/or alcohol.
Ms. Mallard hit a pedestrian who became lodged in her windshield.
Rather then stop and render aid, Ms. Mallard continued home with aforementioned pedestrian and hid the car (and trapped man) in her garage.
Ms. Mallard waited for the trapped man to expire so she could dispose of the body, all the while refusing to render aid or notify authorities.
Ms. Mallard with the help of friends then dumped the body at a local park.

If these assertions are true, then Ms. Mallard should be charged with DUI, kidnapping, torture, and first degree murder. This was not “failing to stop and render aid”. She made a choice to let a man die to hide her guilt in a DUI accident. That a premeditated action and that’s 1st degree murder.

What an amazingly callous, selfish women. What amazingly callous friends she has. Why didn’t one of them call police immediately? Maybe they should be charged with conspiracy.

Have you been following the saga of Jayson Williams, the ex basketball player who shot his chauffeur to death while playing with a shotgun, then used three of hius friend to try and disgise it as a suicide...very similar behavior patterns, and sadly, racial connnotations

"Accessory to murder" is a more appropriate charge.

After reading all the details, I'm not especially shocked by what I read. The lack of respect for any life, and the ability to engage in cold, criminal acts is common in Detroit. We haven't had anything this bad recently, or more probably, it's been kept out of the media. We have had a mother and her four kids shot up, with one dying, because her boyfriend bought a stolen ghetto blaster with $40 in counterfeit money.

We have a subculture where life is cheap, and you can kill for the slightest reason. And one has plenty of friends that share that same view, and will assist you without batting an eyelash.I can bet you there is no outrage over this murder in that subculture. Except maybe that this poor woman is being oppressed by "the man", just like that white guy that attacked her by throwing himself through her windshield.
