This is first degree murder. By driving him to her home, she kidnapped him. The accident didn't kill him, the fact that she kidnapped him is what killed him. Why in God's name did anyone release this woman on bail? $10,000 bail? Shoplifters get higher bail than that.

I agree with you, at least I HOPE you're correct and this is the law in Texas. Because if a kidnap victim dies, that's capital murder, and Chante Mallard will get a needle.

I think you may be on to something here. The Adrienne Jones murder in Texas was prosecuted successfully as a murder/kidnapping even though she had gotten into the car willingly.

I don't understand why she's out either. Just when you think you've seen the worst example of man's inhumanity to man....you are forced to see the injustice that comes after it like $10K bail. You watch, they'll give her 15 years and she'll only serve half of that.
