Of course, I have known a couple guys who use pepper spray as a breath mint...swim buddies of yours, maybe? ;o)

I made the mistake of letting one of those guys ride in my truck on the way back from Lambert airport after the Gulf War. He found pepper spray in my glove back and decided it would be a hoot to try it out to see how well I could drive under 'pressure.'

I learned my lesson. Since then I thank them for their service and tell them to get in back.
