It seems to me that the soldier who fell out of the copter was captured by the enemy was then a Prisoner Of War. Therefore, he was not killed in combat, but executed as a prisoner. I've checked the newswires, and have yet to see the press release from Ramsey Clark about the mistreatment of prisoners.

the red cross is a worthless politically correct organization, don't expect them to say a damn thing. the same organization that made sure the savages at gitmo got their end of EID feast of lamb.

Our guys are in uniform (and therefore identifiable) Remember those two GIs last week who were shot by the police? They were in civvies so apparently we regard not wearing uniforms as a legitimate ruse de guerre when we do it. We seem to have a consistency problem about what does and does not define a soldier.

A point I'd like to make is the Gito prisoners didn't kill the American soldier. They very well may have killed Americans. If that can be shown then I'd too would be happy to help them die for their cause.
They have repeatedly told anyone within earshod at Gitmo that they will kill Americans and are simply waiting for the chance. They have also made more than a couple attempts against the lives of the Soldiers who are guarding them. When they were captured, they were attempting to kill Americans.
But, I guess one would have to have a keen grasp of the obvious in order to consider that they might be dangerous to Americans.

CLARIFICATION... These people understand nothing other than violence. You cannot reason with these people, You cannot trust these people. They go to soccer stadiums and watch people get their heads blown off... PEOPLE WAKE UP... THEY DO NOT THINK LIKE YOU... I say, 10 of them for one of us. That is the only thing they understand.
I once heard a saying
Until they love their childern more than they hate us, the terror will never stop.

Thank you for bringing this issue up. That was my reaction, this young man was a prisoner of war. Where are all the self-rightous, hate-America-firsters now? What about the mistreatment of this POW? This is a legitimate concern, yet will we hear the outrage?

That brave man took the bullet that could have been meant for any American, I'm just sorry it did not get Daschle between his beady eyes. My thoughts and prayers are with this soldiers family, I could never begin to feel thier grief but my heart breaks for them.
Completely out of line...
Not that it surprises me to hear you take up for liberals, Peep, however her comment was not out of line. Da$$hole is right now trying to split the country when our boys and girls are in harm's way - and dying. Da$$hole, like all your liberal buds, is salivating to see our troops die so he can use it against the President. Da$$hole is a piece of ****.

We seem to have a consistency problem about what does and does not define a soldier.Maybe, maybe not. The Geneva Convention precisely defines what constitutes a soldier, but I don't have it in front of me.

Pay no attention to "peep". He's a liver-trolling liberal who craves attention. You had a good post, Mom

"i don't think i would have shed a tear if one of those planes on 9/11 went into congress i just don't. its their fault this all happened, and they were all behind clinton also. "Enjoy your visit from the Secret Service and/or the FBI for that statement.....

True...the first round should go between his testicles...the second round between his eyes.

The problem with your argument is the use of "they." Surely almost all of these people are very very dangerous ones, but some of them may not be. Some may have spared their lives by giving up intell. To say lets just wipe 'um all out and be done with it imho is an overreach.
