Notice that there is no mention of "hand-to-hand" in the body of the article, just the headline. Most of the article seems to be a cut 'n paste job from earlier news service reports. Other than announcing Australian-SAS participation, what other new facts does the article mention?
I think that the Spec Ops guys are attempting to sneak-in close to designate the enemy strong points, but the bulk of the infantry forces are probably in blocking positions to prevent a sudden breakout attempt. Wouldn't want to get too close to one of those hyperbaric gems!
