[history]
An Eagle Scout who was mistaken for a bank robber and shot in the face by an FBI agent in Pasadena on Friday remained in serious but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center last night.
Joseph Charles Schultz, 20, was shot at close range about 6 p.m. Friday when FBI agents searching for a bank robbery suspect pulled over his girlfriend's car.
Schultz, who lives in the 7900 block of Seabreeze Drive in Orchard Beach in Anne Arundel County and works with fiber optics for a local medical company, has no connection to the bank robbery, officials said.

this kind of crap is a glaring example of the type of crap that's been happening more often.
This aint "bungling" or "typical gummint" cock up. It's policy.
10 bucks says agent johnny fed quick trigger winds up with on a paid vacation "horiuchi style" and after a dog & pony show investigation (if they even bother with one) nothing will happen to him.
Viscious, Evil Thugs. 9/11 didn't magicly changed that.

Funny, but if an ordinary guy who is not a fed shot some kid coming back from the mall, they would have no problem posting the name of the shooter and all sorts of theories on what must have happened. For that matter, an ordinary guy who merely drives around with a machine gun and black clothing would not fare too well under scrutiny either. But these are not ordinary guys, and the law cannot touch them. If I were this guy's father...yeah, it would be worth it.

the jurisdiction to charge this agent, if not the local
authorities?

I was taught to have respect for authority. (LEO's)
I was also taught that respect can be given, but must be earned to be kept.
If LEO's want respect, they must vigorously prosecute any of their own that commit wrongdoing.
If they do not, they do not rate ANY RESPECT.
And they wonder why people lie to them or won't cooperate !

P.S. When did it get to where we are supposed to call UNMARKED/UNIDENTIFIED men in MASKS with ILLEGAL WEAPONS, Law Enforcement Officers ???????
What happens when we have to accept any UNIDENTIFIED PERSON IN DISGUISE OR MASK WITH ILLEGAL AUTOMATIC WEAPONS as an LEO, or risk being shot?
