Thanks! As for your suggestion, I was trying to be kind and was not sure if the gloating had been reported by a reputable source yet. The whole affair is a very clear demonstration of just how bad the FBI has become. Incompetence magnified by the 'CYA' attitude multiplied by the disregard for injured humans and permeated by the disgusting celebration of someone's suffering. Those thoughts we had about the Muslims who celebrated the WTC collapse are the same ones we'll have about those FBI agents now... and since they won't allow us to know their names, it gets transferred to the entire Bureau. Sad.

>MW, is my post #234 a fair assessment? [ties shoe laces]
I'm sorry, when I bent over to tie my shoes laces, the blood rushed to my head and I had one of those moments where you can see, but can't hear anything. I saw your lips moving, but I couldn't hear a thing you said. Were you talking to me?

Nice post Teach.
It's a morass of irrationality, dishonesty and criminality. They proclaim that it's those menacing guns that cause crime -- not the person. Reality -- guns don't kill people, people kill People.
When a LEO, or FBI agents as in this specific case, shoots an innocent it's not the evil gun that's at fault, it's about the person. The person/LEO made a mistake. Reality -- irrationality, dishonesty and criminality define this predictable event.

MarkWar, is post
#234 a fair assessment? If not, what specifically do you think is right and what specifically do you think is wrong and which specifics will you avoid or attempt to obfuscate?

I agree with you, and to add a little if I can; what it's also about is that their man, meaning Bush, is the one they'd be forced to take a closer look at if logic and consistency were to prevail. Not because he is responsible, but because during the Clinton years any law enforcement overreach was slapped right back into Clinton's lap, and as such the incident we're discussing today would lead back to Bush's doorstep, if they were to apply the same standard to Bush as they did to Clinton.
I voted for Bush, and am generally pleased with the job he's doing as President, so this observation of mine is in no way intended to impugn his integrity or character.
This morass that is also known as the FBI has been becoming fetid for years; probably long before the first Bush served as POTUS, and for reasons/circumstances unknown to a public, which probably couldn't care less anyway.
The apologists most likely want a little liberty, and a lot of assistance. They are as the Biblical admonition decries..."neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm...", and fit only for being spit out.

Good post.......you have to understand that _jim is just a disruptor. He's sort of the Black Knight from the Monty Python film.......don't waste your time IMHO.
Stay Safe !

Sorry, I just gulped half a glass of slurpee and POW-WEE -- brain freeze. I missed like the last two minutes getting back to reality.
Did I miss anything? Did you say something to me?

Juxtaposition Teacher317
#234 post to MarkWar post
#124 and the reader will easily understand why MarkWark feigns immature ignorance. IMO, he's probably an LEO that has covered up crimes of his own or that of other LEO's.
Oops! Forgot one of the more outspoken ones!

Of course, you realize, now, that it's too late for you, don't you?
A person's typing rhythm is as unique as an artist's brush stroke. They're perfect identifiers.
Now we have you.
It doesn't matter if you switch machines. It doesn't matter if you use different account names. We have you.
You cannot disguise the subconscious keystroke rhythms that go into your typing.
We know when you're online and when you're off. We know where you're typing and who you're connected with.
Kiss, kiss, baby.

...there's no Federal Agencies in the phone book any more...
I don't know where you live, but the St. Petersburg, FL phone book has a load of Federal Agencies starting on page 12; look under the letter U for United States Government. Why it has a Federal Information Center (toll free) number, Customs, Immigration, VA, and OH! even the FBI, replete with a phone number AND an address.
Well, what do you know about that?

Come on MarkWar. Tell us what really goes on in the parasitical criminal mind. Tell us about the rush of power you feel as you abuse your innocent victims. Don't hold anything back. Tell us what you really think and feel.

I was being sarcastic, but forgot to include the </sarcasm>. You are the second person I have had to apologize to.
So far, Ashcroft seems to be a pathetic copy of Janet Reno sans testicles.
To: D Joyce
Thank goodness somebody took my post as the sarcasm that it was!
We need to start a list of crimes committed by federal employees that Ashcroft has failed to prosecute. Just off the top of my head:
- The theft of White House furniture/silverware
- The trashing of the Executive Offices by the little-willy supporters
- The deaths of 4 young firefighters at the 30-mile fire in Washington State
- More???

What are our options for stopping this sort of thing from happening again aside from getting better people on the job or creating a magic pill that removes SNAFU from our daily lives? We could try accountability; something us peones are subject to all our lives.....
