Not today, but in the Marine refueler that crashed a few weeks ago. She was as much a hereo as all the rest. I don't support putting women in combat (except as a last line of defence), but I do honor the ones who are.

Ditto to you. I don't support it either. But I don't make the rules. Women are there. Maybe in combat. It does not matter we should be Proud of them ALL.

..."Women soldiers"
You should see the Israeli women soldiers, I wouldn't have wooried about their capabilities if they were fighting next to me.
This sh**Hook design needs to be replaced! Been using them since the Paleolithic age I think...
I went down in one in Germany in 1986.
We were transporting P2's around; playing the coldwar shell game when we heard a loud bang & lost one of the turbines.
It was an abnormally nice day & we were flying above mission altitude, thank God! When we heard that bang we dropped 500' in a second. That ground flew up at us FAST. If we were at normal altitude we would have sunk quite deep into the potato field we were flying over.

The poster seemed to be referring to women dying in combat.
I'm sure that there are women who've died trying to handle a man's job, though woefully inadequate.
IMO, the military is there to PROTECT the women and children, not make career alternatives for them.
