Yeah, but it doesn't seem to be working as well as they like. Too many people seem to be siding with the liberal invented conservatives...

Now for a liberal-invented-conservative that actually succeeded (from their point of view), I offer up 704 Hauser (sp). This was the comedy, circa 95, that offered a mirror image of All in the Family: the family was black, basically liberal with the standout being the conservative son, Thurgood.

I watched once, and the stereotype was pitiful. Basically, Thurgood was indeed a straw man for daddy et. al. to beat the rhetorical crap out of every week. I don't even think it lasted a season.

Similarly, some network tried to play off Limbaugh's success. They hired rampaging liberal Henry Winkler to play a bombastic conservative talk show host whose wrong thinking ways would be exposed each week by the wisdom of friends and family. I don't think it lasted a season, either.

Forget Rambo. Watch Uncommon Valor instead.

Gene Hackman assembles a group of vets to rescue his son and other POW's. They train in a replica of the camp, they eat the local food (so they don't smell funny in VN), and they actually plan the assault.

Things go wrong, they adapt, improvise, and overcome. The team has casualties, but is successful in the rescue. Far more realistic than Rambo or Missing In Action or any of the other One Really Bad Dude Takes On Local Army And Wins movies.

Are we counting movies here? The Patriot gets my vote for conservative drama.

Actually, I was hoping for more movies to be discussed. In addition to The Patriot, I would add Braveheart.
