Here is another statement by Billy Graham, taken from his biography "Just As I Am".

Don't you think the words for public consumption are less indicative of one's character and spirit than those spoken in private.

The preponderance of Jewish liberals amongst other liberals in the media and entertainment industries is undeniable. I doubt that means they control either.

Coincidentally, just last night I had the opportunity at a dinner party to defend my own very hawkish support for Israel in light of the fact that I'm at the same time vehemently politically at odds with American Jewish Liberals...it was interesting.

As for Rev. Graham, I'm sticking with him and his son and daughter. I don't see anything here that's condemning.

This is ridiculous. I think that this is just another attempt to tear down a leader. There is no way that Billy Graham is anti-semitic. You can't use a comment from 1976 to accuse him of that.

How to draw distinctions? Fact is that Jews are "over-represented" in journalistic circles, in academia, and in entertainment. Plus these are all liberal. Plus Jews vote overwhelmingly for the Democrats and in they are in office they ARE liberal Democrats/liberal Republicans. There are grounds for the display of bigotry.

You can say what you want about Nixon but many Jewish people held very high positions in his administration and he was a very real friend to Israel.

His biggest defender to this day may very well be Ben Stein. Henry Kissinger was crying at his funeral.

This thread is further anedoctal evidence of how hard is was for Democrats to dump Clinton. They simply refused to believe he did anything, or that he did anything wrong.

Perhaps "open book" should refer to Graham's apparent lack of opening and reading the Bible often enough.

Have what on tape? That Billy Graham and Nixon thought there was an identifiable demographic group (rich Jewish media persons and academics) opposed to their policies with whom they must contest? Golly, that's a shock.

Anti-semitism means a hatred of Jews or having a desire to demean them, kill them and destroy what they work to build.

In even the most tortured use of the phrase, neither Nixon or Rev. Graham could be considered an "anti-semite"

And we could also say that:

Bill Clinton was a filthy mouthed, degenerate, power hungry, impeached co-conspirator, who only because he has no shame does not realize how he disgraced the office of the Presidency.

There are (at least) three primary differences between Nixon and Klinton:

Klinton had no John Dean
Klinton had no tapes
Nixon had an Oval Office, Klinton had an Oral Office.

The depth of hate for Nixon lives on. This story is 30 years old.
