I've heard on radio the diary entries where pleas to her father to love her. I don't know specifics.
My mother's been followed the case intently and wondered whether Danielle wasn't exploited by her father (rented out for use?) before her death.
The diary thing was also brought out by Douglas Pierce of the Millenium Foundation, a Children's Foundation. On MF's web site is a list of his concerns as he reported to CPS. There were also references to him at the San Diego Union-Tribune site. The VD's dismissed him as being a freak who wasn't invited into their home.
There are some very interesting posts over at the Trib. Myself, I'd like to hear all the evidence, as it stands now, I have too many doubts about all of the people involved to be able to convict DW.
