The leftist, radical feminist/gay-lesbian groups have enormous power in Canada. It really is shocking when you examine it. Sounds like this woman belongs to one or more of these groups.

No wonder Canadian politicians like Sheila Copps foam at the mouth when they talk about Americans. And it is simply hilarious, in the most tragic sense, how these individuals pride themselves on their “tolerance” and "multiculturalism," when they simultaneously engage in anti-Americanism – a disposition that, as sociologist Paul Hollander has demonstrated, can easily be related with racism, sexism, and anti-Semitism.

I guess you could say I'm half-Canadian, since my late-father was Canadian and I have family in most provinces. I was visiting this past summer and had the opportunity to watch some Canadian TV. It was interesting to watch some of the "comedy" shows. There were a number of shows that were poking fun at Americans and especially the election fiasco. Besides having crappy actors (I mean, really, how hard is it to make algore look like a tree), there was an obvious sense of superiority to the skits.

Originally from Canada, I must add that these lesbian feminazi ultra-socialists have so much power because the best and brightest Canadians emmigrate to the U.S. where they can earn a decent living without oppressive taxes and socialist indoctrination. When I was in high school twenty years ago, we were actually shown a film about how socialism was the best form of government and how, as a Canadian, you should be proud of the country's socialist policies becasue they weren't like the oppressive American capitalist system. It was shown in grade 9 and no one even cared it was shown.

If the radical left ever gains power in all levels of government in the U.S., you will have a country just like Canada.

I've got several friends just across the border, and we'll occasionally delve into politics. The interesting thing is that I believe, and they concurred, that the Canadian national identity is completely and totally built around their desire to prove that they're not American, but they are still friendly to America.

I dont think its long now until that a new version of that video will be shown in American schools-- extolling the virtues of our new "enlightened" socialist state. Its only a matter of time.

I am no fan of hers but before you post things like lesbian etc check the facts so your comments mean something. She attended a liberal university in the states and I would take her over Halitosis Hillary, Barbie Boxer, Di Fienstien, Cathy Coutic, Maxi Waters, Babs Streisand, Rosie O, Cher and others like them that are more than plentiful in the good ole USA. Just a note, Canada makes stronger beer than the USA, better hockey players and better looking women. And a draftdodging, raping, coke snorting and perverted person like Bill Clinton would never get elected in this country. That in itself tells an awful lot about the mindset of people who vote in the USA. He not only fooled you once, he fooled you twice. Of course OJ fooled you more than twice. And for the press to give credence to the likes of Mumbles Jackson and Jowels Sharpton is something you should be really concerned about. And of course NY elected Chuckie Schumer and Halitosis Hillery to the Senate and are proud of it apparently. So before you run down Canada and its people get rid of the Albatross from around your necks. Even Rubin "big lie" Carter, who is real dumb by the way, fooled your justice system and was let out of prison And George W will go down in history as the greatest prez. The reason, he will not be fooled.

A hero, by my definition, is one who puts himself at risk for the sake of 1) others, or 2) a principle.

Black Tuesday alone provided us with enough examples of pure, Medal of Honor grade heroism to fill Canada's history books for about three centuries. Or would Miss Copps like to suggest that the policemen and firemen who plunged into the Twin Towers did so in hope of overtime hazardous duty pay?

I know there's no "American" gene, but if there were, it would have heroism engraved all through it. How many wars has this country entered, wisely or not, for the sake of other peoples? How many millions of American men have stepped forward to endure hardship and enormous risk, and sometimes to make the ultimate sacrifice, so that non-Americans could be freed from tyrants?

Now ask yourself what other country could make such a statement, even at greatly reduced numbers. Even Great Britain, America's staunchest ally and most kinlike culture, has followed a foreign policy of pure self-interest these two centuries past.

Americans don't look to the silver screen for their heroes. We have too many heroes to need to find them in cinema. Cinema figures sometimes depict certain heroic qualities to us -- standing in for the real, flesh-and-blood American heroes that populate our history and are too numerous to count -- but that's all they do.

Sheila Copps, like most politicians of her type, idolizes the Euro-elite socialists that look down on us for our "lack of sophistication." She has no inkling of what a hero is or what he does. Comments like hers will cause heroism to stay south of the 49th parallel. God help her if she should ever need it.

Canadian Liberals traditionally ignore our heroes in order to differentiate Canada from the U.S.Many veterans will attest to this. Your assessment of Copps, is right on. The trouble I have with Glazov is he offers no source for his material. Where and when did Copps say this? She may look dumb but she's not stupid and those comments are stupid. Glazov saying she said them ,like his revelations about Graham, is not good enough. In Russia maybe, not Canada or the USA.

This is typical of Glazov - manufacturing a controversy in order to sustain his "Hate Canada" agenda. As far as I can tell, Copps never said "America has no heroes", nor did she even imply the notion. The foreskin stretching Glazov never let a lack of facts impede his resolve to bash Canada at every turn.
