Damon van Dam (L) and Juliette Bolton (R) offer support to Brenda van Dam when she broke down after David Westerfield arrived at his arraignment to answer to charges of the murder and kidnapping of the van Dam's seven-year-old daughter in downtown San Diego superior court, February 26, 2002. Danielle van Dam disappeared from her home on February 1 and has not been seen or heard from since. Photo by Pool/Reuters

Thanks, so much for researching, and finding the articles. You are an excellent source for information.

The news reports from last night showed, and mentioned, a lot of trash in the immediate area. This could be important. If it was a common dump site, seems like someone would have seen something. Believe it or not, a lot of trash can be traced back to the owner, or time-stamped as to when it was dumped. Will be interesting to hear more details.

If you saw the video of them at the arraignment, you would have seen Brenda in the arms of the woman next to her and Damon, her
husband, sitting there like a stupid duck. (I can't say what I really think of him.)
There is something wrong with these people. I just can't figure them out.
Interesting thought: Why did Westerfield leave his home at 9:30am if he had Danielle in his RV. Why take the chance that the VD's would do a neighborhood search and find her there???? It doesn't make sense...
