The girl was not found in the search area. This indicates to me that he may have told them the location. I am still waiting for something else to break. Seems like there is more.

I don't think Westerfield spilled the information.  The body was found by a couple of van Dam Search Team volunteers.  If the body had been referenced by SDLE.  They would have descended on the area, well before the press arrived.  The volunteers called Sheriffs around 2:00 P.M.  Only then did SDLE beat a trail to the area.  So that would imply that Westerfield gave up noting.  IMHO.
