YES....CANADA won the GOLD MEDAL in HOCKEY - c'mon folks - they deserved it, after a 50 year absence......GREAT game.

Those two teams we saw today could have played 50 times, and Canada would have won all 50. The USA played a decent game, but the Canucks were flying high from the start (especially Sakic). Well done Canada.

Today on the ice we were adversaries. In the real world, we are the closest of allies and friends.
Fact of the matter is, this continent is the best hope of life on this planet since Europe has turned socialist.

Well said. Although I would have liked to see the results of both the men's and women's hockey finals reversed, I was rooting for an all-North America final in both. Canadians and Americans alike were treated to four classy groups of players, and two wonderful games. The Canadians were simply a step quicker in both finals, and that made the difference.
Congrats to your team. We'll see you again in four, but next time we won't go so easy on you guys. ;-)

They've shut down the entire downtown toronto core. Nothign was even planned. Everyone just took to the streets.
