Danielle was last seen about 10:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, when her father put her to bed. She was discovered missing from her room about 9 a.m. the next day.

I hope they prove it and have the right guy and then send him to very painful and cruel death .

But, the above sentence sends red flags up all over the place.

I just find it incredible that she just ups and disappears and nobody in the house knows it. I guess they were to busy having group sex and swapping fluids

I'm sure that she is dead. I just wish that he would tell them were the body is.

Stinking New York Times can't even use a San Diego dateline. Did this reporter just listen to the radio or something to file her report from LA?

The police chief said that there was blood on a piece of Westerfield's clothing and in his motor home that matched Danielle's DNA.

The big question is WHY did Westerfield do this? He was rebuffed in an effort to host a swingers party at his house. Brenda van Dam may have rebuffed his advances at Dad's bar in Poway the night of the kidnapping. He may have gone to their house before Brenda came home for the three couples party after 2 AM, and might have kidnapped the girl in revenge.

There are lots of unanswered questions here...including why the van Dam's would hire a PR firm a week after the kidnapping. It sure smells fishy...
