Parents protest gay-themed school plays

A group of parents is suing a public school district in Novato, Calif., for allowing their elementary school-age children to see pro-homosexual plays at school without any prior notice or parental consent.

The parents charge that their constitutional and civil rights to the free exercise of religion and to direct the upbringing of their children were violated when their children saw the presentations at school assemblies in the Novato Unified School District last spring without their consent.

One would think that, Victoria, but just 4 of us stopped it in Ventura County. However,it is a yearly battle. We videotaped the votes at the school board meetings, and turned them over to the local ABC affiliate and local newspaper.....they backed down.!!

How can anyone allow this to happen? It's child cruelty, and it shouldn't be tolerated. These are adult themes that children shouldn't be subjected to. Furthermore, they're promoting a perverted lifestyle.

I can't believe that the parents aren't raging more than they are. It's absurd. I'd be causing a ruckus at the school over this.
