It would be inappropriate to expose children of this age to skits containing heterosexual themes!I AGREE! ANY type of sex teaching should be left up to the parents. Sheesh.

The California Student Safety and Violence Prevention Act required educators to revise state curriculum in such a way that students would be able to acknowledge homosexual, lesbian, transgender and bisexual historical figures and events.I wonder if they will talk about the events described in Genesis chapters 18-19? That is certainly a significant event in gay history! (This is the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.)

Dear Califonians:
Home School. Band together. Tell the school board your intentions of taking your kids out of public schools. Multiply the number of children that the public school will lose times $10,000 and remind the school board how much they are going to lose. Get the policy changed. Then home school anyway.

I'm sure glad I teach my children at home. But, if parents send their kids to public schools these days, they should expect this kind of thing. Parents no longer control the schools and it's a shame.
One of the reasons I homeschool is that the schools no longer think it is their responsibility to only teach the three R's, but they think they need to teach everything else under the sun. I get so ticked when people talk about homeschooled kids missing out on socialization. The schools shouldn't be teaching "social skills" in the first place. Math. Science. English. History. Period.

School officials said yesterday they could not comment on the lawsuit or the program, called "Cootie Shots: Theatrical Inoculations Against Bigotry." "Providing a safe environment in our schools for everyone has and will always be our main priority," Miss Pavia said. This has nothing to do with bigotry or even a safe environment. This has to do with homosexuals interfering in the normal development of youngsters. Obviously their true agenda is to recruit children. The younger the better.

Our kids were still in public school (to our mounting dissatisfaction) when we learned, almost by accident, that one had been subjected to a psychological exercise without our knowledge or consent. We were outraged. We met with school officials. I said just what you said: "We send our children to school to learn reading, writing, and arithmetic. Period. Therapy is handled at home and church."
In a be-gentle-with-the-moron tone, one of them responded, "Yes, Mr. Phillips, at one time that was the model for schools. But now we take a more holistic approach. Anything that affects the child is our concern."
My wife and each other shared a look that said, "The hell it is."
We politely concluded the session shortly after, and before long, our children were homeschooled. And ever since. One of the two or three best decisions I, for my part, have ever made, and almost the only one I never, NEVER, second-guess or regret or re-evaluate.

This sort of "homosexual behavior is okay" indoctrination seems to have manifested itself in a bizarre murder case,
here, where one college girl stomped another to death after some sort of homosexual encounter. The killer claims she didn't want to go as far as the victim did. One of the killer's friends was surprised, because he hadn't heard her say anything homophobic in the past. Apparently, it's now homophobic to say "not interested" to homosexual overtures (assuming the killer is telling the truth in this case).

The lawsuit is of particular importance in California, where state legislators in 2000 passed a law mandating that public schools there address homosexuality. The California Student Safety and Violence Prevention Act required educators to revise state curriculum in such a way that students would be able to acknowledge homosexual, lesbian, transgender and bisexual historical figures and events. This is so interesting ..Thanksgiving may not be taught as giving thanks to God by the pilgrims..even though it is historically correct..BUT we have to beat the bushes to find inventors and public figures that cross dressed..before we know it George Washington will be seen as a cross dresser by our kids..(that wig you know:>)

They don't know how to teach academic subjects anymore, so they have to do something to justify their existence. So now the school is a therapeutic institution rather than an institution that inculcates academic knowledge. This is very scary. Kids are under the impression that they will lean at least the basics -- reading, writing, and arithmatic and wind up spending their time being psychoanalyzed. Talk about cognitive dissonance. I wonder how many kids come out of the public schools totally screwed up after being subjected to this mindless nonsense.

Parents protest gay-themed school plays Excerpt:
The presentations exposed children between second and sixth grades to skits containing homosexual and lesbian themes. The skits were performed in February and March of 2001 at Pleasant Valley Elementary School and San Ramon Elementary School in Novato, a city in Marin County, Calif. One skit, in which a boy named Jack wears a dress, talks about cross-dressing. Another skit deals with homosexuality, in which a female character runs off with a princess instead of a prince, according to lawyers who represent the parents.
School officials said yesterday they could not comment on the lawsuit or the program, called "Cootie Shots: Theatrical Inoculations Against Bigotry." "Cooties," an expression that in elementary-school circles refers to members of the opposite sex, are defined by the Random House Historical Dictionary of American Slang as "an imaginary microbe or repulsive quality thought to be transmitted by slovenly or obnoxious people."

Yep, and they are winning this war because not even 2% of the parents are doing anything about it. Want to know how? Ask me how 4 of us stopped them.....just 4.

That was back when Gay meant definition #2, right?
And definition #1 didn't exist?
1. homosexual: homosexual in sexual orientation
2. merry: full of light-heartedness and merriment (dated)

So the students end up dirt-ignorant and unable to think, but by golly, they
feel good about themselves!
And about the Government that has been their Friend, Protector, Guardian and Teacher almost since birth!

Although we homeschool, our older two went to public high school. We thought we were doing ok by having them take health (translation: sex ed) by correspondence where the kids wouldn't have to sit through the usual garbage of who's having sex in the backseat. Well, their biology book had a chapter on the birds and the bees. Fine. Not so fine was the lengthy discussion on birth control. Even had pictures of various birth control items. I created such a fuss that the teacher had to skip the entire chapter. :) She, the principal and the assistant principal were warned that we had submitted letters that our daughters were NOT to participate in ANY discussions of sex or birth control, that it was our right, and that we would sue. We were very polite about it, too.
Funny thing was, other parents were bothered, too. Their kids were taking health by correspondence, too. They wouldn't speak up, though, because they were embarrassed. If they couldn't stand up to a little peer pressure, how do they expect their kids to do the same?
