If you don't bother to learn about the character of your partner and your compatability with your partner prior to bearing children with him/her, then there are consequences for all parties... especially the children. Would that it were that easy: My parents were married 23 years prior to the events I described above.

Until recipients of welfare and ADC are required to repay the state in a reasonable manner, no justice will exist anywhere.
My sympathies to all who have suffered due to socialist programs and cultural assaults that have undermined the institution of marriage and the security of the family unit.
Children are the future. The 20 year old of 30 years ago has the maturity and self-reliance of an adult of 30-40 today.
Helplessness, dependency and victimhood are the mindsets instilled, policy is sculpted to ensnare all into a formula that assures that you must play, must suck blood just like the others to stay alive.

Karl Marx --- he dreamed up a world where he would remain unemployed, his life's ambition.

Don't knock up women that you don't intend to be married to permanently and you won't have these kinds of problems. Or conversely, don't be knocked up by a man that you don't intend to be married to permanently Most people don't get married with the intention of it being temporary.

Wait until you get rid of this wife and get to the point of "mine, yours, and ours." True story: I worked for a judge several years ago. A divorcing couple was seeking to have the court judicially divide their community assets. They, of course, were ordered to list everything they owned. Included in their list of possessions that they were fighting over: 20 plastic coat hangers; one 50 foot garden hose (green); two 50 gallon garbage cans (one blue; one green); 37 Louis L'Amour Paperbacks; and (here's the real kicker) one five-pound bag of M&M's (plain).
Thank God they didn't have kids.

My granddaughter was going through her father's garbage and reading his emails - on a spy mission from her mother. The kids need to pretend to be fearful of their father in order to please their mother. The poor kids!

PING for the kids.

Good Heavens! I told my son he and I need to write a magazine article about how he survived this nightmare. He's getting married on March 17th. I hope and pray nothing even more horrendous happens between now and then but I put nothing past her. Like I said, Good Heavens!

I was going to write an objection to the What's Worse Than A Dead Beat Dad? headline because my children's dad is dead, which I thought was worse. However, it's been four years since he died and we are at peace with that, and so is he, so I guess some things are worse than a dead dad. The stories on this thread are terrible.

Oh, and I don't have any kids, nobody is ever going to call this guy a f*th*r. This is the worst name I could ever think of being called, after listening to my harpie mother go on and on about "your f*th*r this" and "your f*th*r that". Bah. Families are highly overrated. I hear you, my friend. I've been down the same road.

With so few worldly posessions, I wonder why they needed two large trash cans?

A beat dead dad?

I have heard it said that divorce is worse than death. I am glad you have achieved peace; that is truly a miracle. God bless you.
To: Mr. Jeeves
You guys are killing me. I'm so sorry.
To: Khepera
Now THAT was funny. Thanks for lightening up the load a little.

"Did you know that women can file FALSE report and get a restraining order and the poor Dad is left without a prayer?"
'Screwed' is a more decriptive word.
