Die Bush Krieger, Amerikas Feldzug gegen das Boese"
The Bush Warriors, America's battle against evil.
Cover story: President George Bush has harshly criticised Iraq, Iran and North Korea and put them at the top of his hit list, turning the war against terror into a world-wide hunt for anti-American baddies.
But the three states which have suddenly become the focus of the Manichaeian world view, with which Americans reduce complex problems to manageable confrontations between good and evil, have nothing with which to confront the dominant USA in military terms.
Nevertheless this superiority appears to offer Washington's strategists only deceptive security. In their defenceless impotence, so the strategists believe, the "underdogs" are only left with an "asymmetric response", resorting to unconventional means and weapons.
And as Osama bin Laden chillingly demonstrated on September 11, even the greatest military dominance can offer little effective protection from these. That is why Bush is now making every effort to deprive so-called rogue states of such means, before they can be used against America. Yet even Bush's allies doubt that the accused regimes are as dangerous as he claims.
Looks like the usaul euro-trash, socialist whine to me.
Hmmmmmmm........
A billboard for the German newsmagazine 'Der Spiegel' is posted on a downtown street in Berlin, Germany, Tuesday Feb. 19, 2002, showing George Bush sporting a machine gun in front of various cabinet members. The German headline, 'Die Bush Krieger, Amerikas Feldzug gegen das Boese' translates 'The Bush Warriors, America's battle against evil'. (AP Photo/CP, Fred Chartrand)
I agree, if they marketed this as a poster here in the States, they would sell like hotcakes (or pretzels :-). Especially so, if they would put the words in English:
THE BUSH WARRIORS
America's Battle against Evil
Nope. Cheney is "The Terminator."
The Mirror
Amerikas Feldzug gegen das Böse
America's expedition against the bad (evil ones)
Die Bush Krieger
The Bush Warrior (or, I think, the Warrior, Bush)
I speak some German, but am not close to fluent.
