daughter (1st grade) was supposed to draw a picture illustrating "patriotism" for her assignment for tomorrow (public school). I slyly looked at my hubby and said "we should tell her to draw a gun!"

He just about died laughing. Anyway she did draw a flag with a little person looking up at it and a little heart coming from the person's chest that said "true love" on it.

Not a good idea in some zero tolerance schools. When my grandson was in the 1st grade (1996) he used to draw guns. He receive counselling but no suspension.(barf)
