If you need someone to agree that the gov did awful things-yes they did. My FIRST comment on this thread opened with that observation ( please read #16 ). The government lives off of money & power & they will do what ever we let them. The public reasons for what happened were given as a WAR TIME THREAT & it would appear many citizens agreed.
I am a poor target for you-given your concern, you should contact the ACLU about seeking larger reperations. I was not even alive when these things happened.
I'm not asking for your "reparations" and have never commented on such. I'm only correcting your myopic view on the legality of imprisoning people without trial, without even a reasonable accusation, and certainly without legal representation.
