I haven't found a website for Spectrum Design, but did google him and came up with a bunch of business/computer design classes being taught by a David Westerfield at San Diego State. (Extension, evening classes.) Also, local news has said that Brenda just started selling books to libraries.

Brenda has to get a second job? Sounds like the van Dams are in financial straits.

I am thinking that is a different David Westerfield at SDSU.

By the way there is an email address (through yahoo) showing a David Westerfield near Dallas, where the van Dams used to live.

Here's the mention of a David Westerfield from the SDSU extended studies web page:
