Russert and Carville: First Class Bias
Meet the Press ^ | 2-17-2002 | gortklattu

Posted on 02/17/2002 12:36:49 PM PST by gortklattu

Here is a first class example of media bias, courtesy of “Meet the Press”’s Tim Russert. Russert gave James Carville the unquestioned run of his show, giving Carville almost double the talk time of his republican guest, Ed Gillespie.

Gillespie got 3 minutes and 43 seconds of chat. Carville was given 6 minutes and 46 seconds of talk time, which he crammed with words of hatred and endless charges of the Bush Administration, none of which were challenged by the socialist sycophant who hosts the program.

Carville got away with an incredible charge. While talking about Bush and the republicans, turned his speech to Tom Daschle, and said that they tried to kill him with Anthrax. Russert never challenged Carville, nor asked him for clarification on the matter.

Carville continued his accusations and invidious language. Then Russert addressed a question on ‘changing the tone in Washington” to the Republican instead of the hateful accusation-filled person in front of him!

Shame on you Russert! You exhibit what is wrong with our terrible media system, why all of us should fight giving you and your organized crime syndicate (called the mainstream media) any more power in our government. You cater to the ignorant in our society with little care about the survival of a good republic.

Russert is a first-class suck-up to the neo-socialist movement. With that as an aim, he can’t stand the truth or fairness, as it does not fit in their world. That is a message to all of us.

WHat if I took a belt sander and ran the thing up and down your back for a half an hour, then poured turpentine on the raw skin?

if it got me out of having to endure the blather of the demonic duo, I'd consider it! ;-)

"implosion of the party of ugliness and nastiness"

I just couldn't agree more. And ... the more the Carville's of the liberal left-wing democrats continue to distinguish themselves with these kinds of hate-filled statements, the more they destroy themselves. I think it's called "cutting off your nose and spitting your own face".

The fingernails and feet I can understand, but nails on a chalkboard! You masochist!

Okay, listening to Carville is like having an ice pick drilling into an eardrum. Easier?? ;-)

I think the problem is that Russert and Carville/Matalin are personal friends, so Russert naturally gives Carville a break.

The left is rapidly losing it's grip on their sanity. I thought Carvile's carnival act was perfect. He's an idiot and clearly helps Republicans with every appearance.

I quit watching Tim Russert on Meet the Press and the results were immediate and dramatic. I lost inches off my frustration, I had increased energy, my optimism grew back, and I feel like I'd just watched James Carville and Janet Reno canoe over Niagara Falls.

Spare yourselves the suffering (unless you're Robert Fisk, and enjoy being beaten by sweaty, bearded men in filthy robes cursing you as Satan) and click over to Brent Bozell and subscribe to his excellent newsletter Cyber Alert.

He has dedicated staff who monitor this propaganda so that you can play with your kids, walk your dog, add years to your life, remove wrinkles, end heartburn forever.

Buy, read and share Bernard Goldberg's Bias. With a good map, you need never get trapped in another cul de sac of liberal crap.

No, Tim Russert and Chris Matthews are not fair; they're from the ministry of hate--er, love. Along with Carville as a bald Goebbels who serves the party of the cloven hoof.

Did anyone bother to note the softballs and beach balls Russert gave Die Hundin von Buchenvald? Did not the Carville memo to smear Bush with Enron and the facts be damned reach into every doorway where the victims of Capitalism shiver?

Tim Russert, James Carville: shrinkwrapped belly-to-belly and shoved down the ramp of a C-130 into the howling blackness of the fifty below Afghan stratosphere.

Along with the donkey they rode in on.

As they have been since the dawn of time.

Very true. It seems that everytime Carville and his minions get together and have their temper tantrums, it marks a direct hit by the right. I like it.

I was amazed at the number of times Carville was able to cram the words, "two trillion dollars" into his 6 minutes and 46 seconds of spew.

All I thought when I was hearing the goof grate on was that his time is way over. Good catch on the time count though.

I was puzzled by Russert letting him go without a challenge, but I think that Carville really does damage himself with his utter grape coolade partisanship for the disbarred liar.

So right. A lib friend told me the other day that GWB orchestrated 9/11 so that he could bask in the adulation that followed. I was so flabberghasted I didn't know what to say. This person is becoming so irrational it's beginning to frighten me.

I'm sorry, I must respectfully disagree with you. Russert had me snowed for a long time but I finally caught on. He always comes across as a neutral asking a tough question, but then watch him. He lets Carville rant, rave, lie about Republicans and never calls him on it. No, Timmy's daddy was a dem and raised his son to be one too.

I've said it before and I am saying it again, It ought to be called the Jimmy and Timmy show.
